Original Marco's Table From the Le Grand David Show
Made in the late 70's for he "Le Grand David and his own Spectacular Magic Company at The Cabot St. Cinema Theatre. It was constructed and painted by them in their workshops.
Cesareo Pelaez (Marco) used this table in the show in the first years of the Cabot production and later, inour first season of performances of is new production at the Larcom Theatre in 1985
This table was originally purchased at the 60th annual convention of the IBM and auctioned off purchased by a gentleman and was sold to a Magician for his collection and centerpiece in his magic library. He passed away and I acquired it recently, driving to to Georgia to pick it up.
This is accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Le Grand David stationary dated July 8, 1989 by Cesareo Pelaez (Marco) signed. The letter gives all the information on the table. Also included (see photograph below), is an original 8 x 10 photograph of Marco on stage with this table shown to his left. It comes in the original mailing envelope, sent to the original purchaser at the IBM in 1989.
An historic piece of Magic that should be in a fine collection, which will adorn the room with nostalgia and mystery.
The table features hand painted Oriental plaques on the front, with a circle dragon with the "Marco" signature painted in the center of it. This table is all wooden with 3 metal hooks on each end that held various items. In the back there is a large shelf and a large bottom area for storage of your props. It also features a "swing out" wood & cloth Servante. It also has fancy cut-out see thru woodwork for each leg, very classy. It measures 36" wide x 39" high x 19 1/4" deep. it also features brass swivel casters. As I mentioned, the top comes off and the table will break down.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS TABLE CAN BE BROKEN DOWN, BUT I WOULD PREFER NOT TO SHIP IT AS IT IS A LITTLE FRAGILE (ESPECIALLY THE LEGS). IT CAN BE PICKED UP NORTH OF CINCINNATI, OHIO.
IF YOU PREFER TO HAVE IT SHIPPED, YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR PACKING AND SHIPPING WITH YOUR LOCAL TRUCKING FIRM OR OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.
CONDITION: FN Overall ( The gold painted cut out legs have a few lightly damaged areas that can be repaired, but with all the use they had, they are still amazingly in pretty great shape. Around the top are wooden beads & a sequin in the center...However some sequins are missing, but you'd have to be right up to the table to really see that. They can be replaced from any Hobby Lobby or other type store if you wish)
