Vintage Davenport Nest of Boxes - Demon Series/England
ca 1950 A locked chest is brought out and set on the table. It is locked shut and the key given to an audience member. A watch or small object is borrowed, then vanished with a Devil's Hanky or any method you choose (none included).
The box is now opened up by the audience member and they remove a smaller, yellow Plexiglas box, tied with a ribbon. They untie the ribbon and open the box to find another smaller clear Plexiglas box tied with a ribbon. Inside is the borrowed object. they untie the box and remove their item.
An easy to perform Nest of Boxes that you can do without an assistant loading the boxes. You load it as you pick up the box and either give it to the audience member or set it on another table.
The outside box is made of heavy black Plexiglas with wooden panels attached on the outside to make it very attractive. The other 2 boxes as was mentioned, are also made of a Plexiglas. Not flimsy at all, but thicker material. The hasp is brass and it comes with the lock and 1 key
NOTE; THIS LACKS INSTRUCTIONS. WE'LL SEND IT OPENED SO YOU CAN SEE HOW IT WORKS
CONDITION: VF ( it's in great condition except it has a fine crack on the inside of one of the wings. It isn't going to fall apart since he panel is glued to the outside wood, but just wanted you to know it there. I've taken a picture of it here.
